This standard is formulated for the purpose of Environmental Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China and Law of the People’s Republic of China on Prevention and Control of Water Pollution, protecting the environment, safeguarding people’s health, and setting standards for determining the total amount of the developing agent and their oxides in wastewater. This standard provides the lodine-starch spectrophotometry method for determining the total amount of the developing agent and their oxides in wastewater. This standard shall apply to the determination of the total amount of the developing agent and their oxides in wastewater discharged from developing color and mono-colored photos.
