Water quality£Determination of the chemical oxygen demand£Fast digestion-Spectrophotometric method
HJ/T 399-2007 Putting into effect as of March 1, 2008
Abstract:
This standard is developed for the purpose of implementing the Law of the People's Republic of China on Environmental Protection, protecting the environment, ensuring public health and standardizing national monitoring method for environmental pollutants. This standard applies to the determination of COD in surface water, groundwater, sewage and industrial effluent. For undiluted water sample, the lowest detection limit for COD of the current standard is 15 mg/L and upper limit 1000mg/L, the chlorine ion concentration shall be no more than 1000mg/L. For water samples with COD concentration bigger than 1000mg/L or chlorine ion concentration bigger than 1000mg/L, determination could be conducted in line with this Standard after appropriately diluting the sample. Developed for the first time, this standard is a guiding standard.
