| The current technical specifications is developed for the purpose of implementing the Law of the People's Republic of China on Environmental Protection and the requirement of the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Water Pollution, improving the capacity of China in monitoring of water environment, achieving automation and modernization of water quality monitoring in order to meet the objective of early warning monitoring of surface water quality and monitoring and control of total pollutant discharge of pollution sources. This standard specifies major technical requirements for the research, development, production, performance testing, model selection, utilization as well as routine calibration of water quality automatic analyzer of turbidity. It identifies technical performance of and its testing method for water quality automatic analyzer of turbidity, which is used to measure the turbidity of surface water, industrial effluent and municipal sewage. It is applicable to the research, development, production and performance testing of such kind instruments.
