| Discharge standard of pollutants for monosodium glutamate industry

| Abstract: |
| The standard was formulated for the purpose of implementing Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, Law of the People's Republic of China on Prevention and Control of Water Pollution, Marine Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, Air pollution Prevention and Control Law and the Law of People's Republic of China on Prevention and Control of Pollution by Solid Wastes, strengthening pollution control of MSG industry and safeguarding human health and eco balance. The standard is featured by the following characteristics: 1. it applies to management of water and air pollutant discharge of MSG companies, noise pollution control and disposal of solid wastes; 2. water pollutant discharge standard was set according to clean production technique and pollution control technology of the sector; 3. as for existing discharge sources, discharge standard of water pollutants were provided for different time period; 4. level of discharge was not set in the standard. As the first of its kind, the standard shall replace related provisions of the General Standard for Sewage Discharge GW8978-1996 upon its promulgation. |
