This standard is formulated for the purpose of implementing Law of the People's Republic of China on Environmental Protection and Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution by Solid Wastes, preventing and controlling environmental pollution caused by medical wastes, protecting the environment and safeguarding people's health. By referring to Technical Requirements for Insulated and Refrigerator Van (QC/T450-2000), this standard adds the environmental requirements for the pollution control of medical wastes. This standard is on trial as of June 30, 2003 for a period of one year.
