Limits and measurement methods for emissions from light-duty vehicles (¢ó, ¢ô)

Abstract:
This Standard is formulated for the purpose of implementing the Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China and the Law of the People's Republic of China and Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Atmospheric Pollution, preventing and controlling the pollution by emissions from light-duty vehicles and improving ambient air quality. The current Standard specifies the Limits and measurement methods for emissions from exhaust, crankcase pollutants and evaporative pollutants under normal and low temperature; durability requirements for pollution control devices as well as OBD technical requirement and measurement methods for light-duty vehicles installed with positive ignition engine. It also specifies the requirements for approval£¬production consistency and conformity check & identification methods for light-duty vehicles. The current Standard presents the special requirements for vehicles that use LPG and NG fuels. In addition, it also specifies the approval specifications for emission control of the alternative catalytic converter installed at light-duty vehicles as independent technical assembly. The current Standard is applicable to light-duty vehicles driven by positive ignition or compression ignition engines with maximum designed speed equal to or larger than 50km/h. It is not applicable to N1 type vehicles that have been approved in accordance with GB 17691 (stage ¢ó or ¢ô).
