In order to enforce the Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China and the Provisions on the Environmental Administration of New Chemical Substances, safeguard human health and conserve the ecological environment, three environmental protection standards including the Guidelines for the Testing of Chemicals are hereby ratified and approved for promulgation.

The code and title of the three standards are as follows:

HJ/T 153-2004    The Guidelines for the Testing of Chemicals

HJ/T 154-2004    The Guidelines for the Hazard Evaluation of New Chemical Substances

HJ/T 155-2004    The Guidelines for Chemical Testing Good Laboratory Practices

The above-mentioned three standards are recommendatory standards published by the China Environmental Sciences Press and shall enter into force as of June 1 of 2004.
