Limits and measurement methods for exhaust pollutants from compression ignition and gas fuelled positive ignition engines of vehicles (Ⅲ, Ⅳ, Ⅴ)
This Standard is formulated for the purpose of implementing the Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China and the Law of the People's Republic of China and Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Atmospheric Pollution, protecting the environment, preventing and controlling the pollution by exhaust pollutants from compression ignition and gas fuelled positive ignition engines of vehicles. The current Standard specifies the limits and measurement methods for gaseous and particulate exhaust pollutants from compression ignition and gas fuelled compression ignition engines of vehicles (Ⅲ, Ⅳ and Ⅴ) as well as the limits and measurement methods for gaseous exhaust pollutants from positive ignition vehicle and P.I. engine fueled by gas or LPG. The current Standard is applicable to the approval, examination of production consistency and conformity check of M2, M3, N1, N2 and N3 compression ignition and gas fuelled positive ignition engines and such vehicles with designed speed larger then 25 km/h as well as M1 compression ignition and gas fuelled positive ignition engines and such vehicles with mass larger than 3500 kg. If N1 and M2 vehicles installed with compression ignition and gas fuelled positive ignition engines have been checked in accordance with GB 18352.3-2005 "Limits and measurement methods for exhaust pollutants from light-duty vehicles" (China stage Ⅲ and Ⅳ), then their engines may not apply this Standard in type examination.
