SEPA Vice Minister Pan Yue announced today the list of first batch of high pollution and high environmental risk products in 2008, which involved 141 products of 6 industries. It also proposed cancellation of tax refund on 39 listed products to Ministry of Finance and State Administration of Taxation including pesticides, dope, battery and organic arsenic and ban of related processing trade to Ministry of Commerce and General Administration of Customs. Pan Yue said, this list was one of the basic elements of green trade policy. It not only meets the pressing need of limiting the growth of high energy consumption and high pollution industries and protecting public health, but also shows our concrete action to fulfill international environmental obligations.
