On the afternoon of March 23, MEP Minister Zhou Shengxian met in Diaoyutai State Guesthouse with the visiting Haruhiko Kuroda, President of ADB who came for 2008 China Development Forum. Both sides exchanged views on enhancing the cooperation between the Ministry and the Bank. At first, Mr. Kuroda congratulated on the birth of the Ministry and Mr. Zhou's appointment as the head the Ministry. Mr. Zhou hoped to enhance the cooperation with the Bank in four areas, i.e., environmental economic policy, water pollution control, environmental monitoring, and capacity building for supervision and law enforcement. Mr. Kuroda agreed.
