Responsibilities:

• Take part in and coordinate international activities on environmental protection;
• Participate in negotiations of international environmental conventions;
• Administrate, organize and coordinate domestic activities to implement such conventions and external communications;
• Administrate foreign economic cooperation conducted by the environmental system;
• Undertake the settlement of environmental pollution concerning foreign nationals and environmental affairs with foreign elements;
• Guide the work of the Permanent Mission to UNEP;
• Carry out communications with international organizations related to environmental protection;
• Undertake routine work of China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development.
